Short answer to your question: take time to heal those stressed muscles!.
When you're legs ache, your muscle tissue has been broken down and needs time to regenerate!. If you then go and rework on healing muscles you are doing yourself no service!.
You may have developed shin splints, which take even longer to heal!. http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Shin_splint!.!.!. this link has some info on conditioning your muscles, that may be helpful!.

I would ice them!. Fill a a big bucket (that your leg can fit in) with ice cold water and soak it for ten minutes!.

my suggestion is to take advil or ibuprofen tomorrow morning and right when you're done with track practice on monday!. also, if you have biofreeze or any muscle relaxer, use that!. and also, put ice on your muscles where they hurt but only for about five minutes!.
make sure to use the ibuprofen or advil every morning and after you are done with physical exercising!. i have thigh muscle problems and this is what my stretcher told me!. i hope it works out for you! good luck at the meet i am in the same position!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Consistent stretching without over doing it!. Routinely warm the muscles to slow the acidosis affecting that area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
