Question: Is the electro neural stimulator in my back what's causing numbness!?
hi i have this electro neural stimulator thingy in my back, that i don't really use very much anyway!. for other people that have these, have you ever had numbness in your upper back!? neck!? and lower mid right side of back, as well as your limbs!? with possible burning sensation!?
my surgeon seems to think that maybe the electro neural stimulator machine, inside of me may be what is causing my numbness!.
if anyone has had one of these removed, did your numbness go away afterward!?
the machine is in me, near my left hip, and has a wire which goes up my spinal cord !.!.!. it can be controlled with a remote control thing, or turned on and off with a magnet!.
so if you have one or know someone who does please let me know about your similar experience with numbness!.

I have the stimulator with the external power source, yours is the model with an internal power source but the electrodes are the same!. I have four leads in my spine and the wire that goes aound my waist to the reciever that is placed over my ribs!. All of this under the skin of course!. The only time I've had any problems that sound simliar to what you're experiencing is when one of the electrodes migrated!. I had to go in for surgery so a minor adjustment in positioning could be made!.
The stim was only effective for about 8 years, four years ago it stopped being any benefit!. I had the elctrodes removed but still have the wires and reciever in place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mother had one that caused her enormous amount of pain and annoyance!. She had it removed and has not had those same problems since!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
