Swelling, pain+small lump in left foot?(pic inculded)?!

Question: Swelling, pain+small lump in left foot!?(pic inculded)!?
OMFG!. I am not a hypocondriac, really!. Ive torn multiple ligaments in my right foot, this is the first time ive had ANY problems with my left!. 3 days ago i woke up with a pain in my left foot!. I am VERY active in my sleep!. I mean VERY lol!. I think i must have hit it or something while sleeping!. Well, today after walking a lil bit (an hour) to find this centre for an interview, I started to feel pain in my left foot, like the ne 3 days ago, but worse!. Its right on the to of my foot and each time i point my toes upwards or downwards (not in their natural position basically) pain shoots through my foot+weirdly my left arm (NO im not imagining that)!. Ive included a pic!. The lump is REALLY sensitive, my flaming sock hurts when i put it on!. Im currently wearing a support bandage on it, from when my other foot caved in lol!. Just wondering, what does everyone think it is!? Stupid people dont even bother answering!. Cant be bothered with you!. Im in pain and probably overdosed on paracetomol! =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do know it's an antibiotic and not a pain pill you are taking, don't you!? Don't take Paracetomol unless your Doctor prescribed it for something (likely an infection)!.

Now on to the foot!. Put your other foot in the same position and see if it has a 'matching' lump!. Odds are it's normal if it's on the other foot also!.

With pain also happening in your arm, it sounds like the swelling is pushing against a nerve (the nerves run all through your body, from your toes up to your head)!. Hence the odd sudden pain you get in your arm!.

You should really have a qualified Doctor look at your foot, in my view at least!. * Motrin or Ibruprofin (spelling!?) work better than Tylenol or asprin for injuries that involve swelling!.

* Motrin / Ibroprofrin (generic name for it) are anti-inflammatories!. Which means they actually help to reduce swelling and inflamation!. Take with food and milk to avoid upset tummy, and no more than 600 - 800 MG every 6 hours!.

It could be a muscle spasm, a tendon that was injured, or any number of other things!. This is why (plus the pain in the arm which suggests nerve issues) you should see a Doctor as soon as you can!.

Good luck, and also try applying ice (wrapped in a towel) and then heat on and off every 15 - 25 minutes switching from cold to heat!.

Don't leave the cold or heat on for more than 5 - 10 minutes at a time!. With 10 - 15 minutes break in between switching!. Also try soaking your foot in a warm salt bath or just plain old warm water for around 30 minutes a few times a day!.

Good luck, and please see a licensed Doctor!.

First of all, why are you taking antibiotics!? Do you have an infection!? I would not be taking it for this foot injury!. Secondly, I would apply ice for as long as you can stand it (not directly on the skin) for several days and see if the swelling and pain go down!. If the pain persists, it's probably something you should be worried about!. If it stops, it could just be something minor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
