Answers:
it could be a minor pull!.
It used to happen to me all the time because I played a lot of sports!.
Just go out & buy some epsom salt ($2 for 4 pounds) & put about 2 cups of it in a gallon of water & soke your foot in it & it should make it feel a lot better!.
If it still hurts a little bit try elevating it for a while for a couple days & if that dont work go to your doctor because it could be something more serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You see, the thing with achilles injuries is that they just seem like they don't want to go away!. Popping makes me think that you're better off getting to a doctor and having it diagnosed!. Is there swelling!? If so do not, I repeat DO NOT heat it!. What heat does is brings blood flow to the area you're heating!. If you're already having a problem removing fluid from the area (hence the swelling) the last thing you want to do is bring more fluid there!. So until you go see a doctor rest that ankle, ice it, compress it if at all possible, and keep it elevated!. If there is no swelling then either ice or heat is fine and just keep off of it!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

YOU'D BETTER SEE A DOCTOR AND THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO BE ON CRUTCHES FOR A BIT IN ORDER to let it heal!. Trust me, I've had 2 different achilles injuries and kept walking on them both and neither of them healed and it's been well over a year!. ACHILLES INJURIES ARE NO JOKE!! They are some of the nastiest injuries and must be taken very seriously!. If you don't address them properly they will ruin your life forever!. The most important thing to do is treat them while they're still relatively new because if you don't, there is a window of opportunity for healing that will pass and then it will be too late and they could give you problems for the rest of your life!. Put off everything if necessary in order to do everything you can to take care of these tendons or you will oh so much regret it!. Check my other answers for some info on achilles injuries, but see a doctor and seriously consider crutches for a month or two!. On second thought VERY SERIOUSLY consider them!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you heard a popping sound, you might have broken or torn a bone/tendon!. Last year I broke my foot by skipping!.!.!.i heard a crack and couldn't stand on it!. Go see a doctor to get it fixed or diagnosed!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like a sprain or something!. go get it checked up !.!. you probably just pulled a muscle, but if you are a dancer, i wouldn't let it go untreated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you probably overworked it a bit!. i suggest icing it and keep from dancing for a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ride a trojan horse, massage and ice it, if swelling does not go down it may be a pull!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take you foot and lift it up while keeping your heel on the ground!. this will stretch your achillies tendon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might have pulled it a little kinda like you pull your muscles, I would try heat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had the same problem which in my case was caused by running with trainers with too high a back!. I went to a number physio therapists the last one of whom advised me to do calf raises!. As the name suggests this exercise targets the calf muscles but in the process the Achilles tendon is also brought into play!. I don't want to try to describe how to do this exercise on this fore-mat but try to get to a gym!., which has specialist equipment for this exercise and explain what you are doing it for!. At first it seems as though you should not be doing this but you will find that it definitely works !. It certainly did for me!. If you do go make sure you get a really good stretch on the downward movement & do the exercise very slowly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
