Quit smoking, need advice?!

Question: Quit smoking, need advice!?
I am a heavy smoker and have decided last week to quit!. I know i'm really ready for this and today is my first day without a cigarette!. So far it's going well and i don't have any cigarettes with me, but i would like to know from ex smokers if there is anything that i can maybe eat or drink or do that will help for the withdrawal symptoms and cravings!. I know any alcohol and caffeine is a definite no-no!. Any advice from anyone who has been through this will help a lot! thanxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
i quit 4 months ago after being a heavy smoker for 18 years!. I found one of the worst cravings was always after food!. After you have anything to eat, go and brush your teeth!. Don't wait for the craving to set in, just go as soon as you finish eating!. Oh yeah, and sugarfree gum!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you were really serious about quitting you wouldn't need advice - you'd JUST QUIT!. Period!.
If you're such a heavy smoker like you say you are, your index finger and middle finger would be a caramel yellow because of nicotine-staining!. Isn't that motivation enough to quit alone!?
Try hypnotherapy!. The hypnotherapist will attatch a disgusting memorty, feeling, sensation or experience to the act of smoking and subconciously you will be repulsed by cigarettes and you'll never smoke again!. If you have health insurance, hypnotherapy would be given to you at a discount rate from your health insurance provider!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I smoked for over 40 years, having quit and gone back several times!. I finally tried something new and have been smoke-free for about a year!. This is what I did: whenever I wanted a cigarette, I'd smoke half of one!. I did that for a couple of weeks, then I'd just take about four or five puffs, only smoking every other time I wanted a cigarette!. I did that for a couple of weeks until I was down to 2 drags on a cigarette, maybe 4 times a day!. Then, I decided that when that pack ran out, I'd buy no more!.
Quitting cold turkey is just about as effective as quitting heroin cold turkey!. Your body is just as addicted to nicotine and you have to wean yourself off it, like heroin addicts do with methadone!. If you quit cold turkey, the craving is huge, while weaning yourself off of it, there is no craving left and your body is accustomed to being without it!. Good Luck, my friend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow congratulations!. i myself dont smoke but i can only imagine how hard it must be to quit a drug as addictive as nicotine!. theres this new drug out there!.!.!. well actually its a plant and its not new either(its been around for thousands of years!. neways!. its called salvia divinorum people are using it to get rid of cravings from heroin, amphetamines, cocaine and even nicotine !. in regards on how to consume this plant!. you can either chew the leaves for a certain amount of time or you can make a tincture out of it!.!. i am horrible at explaining things so ill just let you read the link!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hear about stuff like nicotine patches and gum etc!.
Another thing you should do possibly while doing those, is hold something shaped similarly to a cigarette in your hand!. That can really help stop the craving!.
Always glad to help,
