Infected toe?!

Question: Infected toe!?
I had an slightly infected ingrown toenail that I went to a podiatrist to have removed on monday morning, and while I've been doing the entire soaking in warm water for 10 minutes with epson salts + neosporin + bandaid + keeping it elevated for the past day or so, the pain doesn't seem to be going away!. There's still some pus that's visible on the bandaids, and the section beneath the nail itself is slightly inflamed!. Yesterday I was getting a weird occasional slightly painful tingly feeling from the needle injection sites!. Not today, but it's still quite unpleasant to walk on, and probably hurts the most when I'm laying down!.

I don't recall this being the same healing process as the last time I had this done, but this time I wasn't prescribed antibiotics or painkillers!. I think I have some antibiotics around the house, but those are about a year old!. Would it be a safe idea to take one!? I called the office I was at yesterday and left a message, but haven't heard back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
