Question: How long does it feel like your asleep during surgery!?
I am having surgery tommorow and have never had surgery before and was wondering how long it feels like your asleep I have heard 5 seconds 5 mins just wondering and if you have never had surgery and know somone who has ask them for me and postWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've had a number of surgeries and when the doctor gives you the medication to put you to sleep it's pretty much lights out! I had once doctor tell me to count backwards from ten, I think I got to nine!. You will get some medications before you go into surgery, one will dry out your mouth, the others will be for pain relief after the surgery and the other is to make you drowsy!. I like the drowsy med and it's like having had a few drinks too many!. When surgery is over and they wake you up, you will probably feel very groggy and also like you just went to sleep although several hours may have passed!. If they put a mask on your face before you go to sleep, it's pure oxygen, they won't add the nitrous until you are asleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had surgery under a general anesthetic, it only felt as though I was sleep for 5 minutes, but to be honest your not sleep your just kind of doped up, because anesthetic that puts you to sleep is banned, because it may kill you if you don't wake up, so when they put you under the medicine you talk in your "sleep" this was my first surgery ever and I still don't remember, how i got from on the bed to the chair!.!.!.!.!.!.You have nothing to worry about you are in good hands, it will be over in no time, depends on what type of surgery you are having!. Well, I have had two surgeries!. The first one, i had an IV, and I was out within seconds!. The second, i also had an IV, but it took perhaps 30 seconds!. it is SUPER fast!. It doesnt hurt at all!. You will wake up feeling like you just had the best sleep of your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if you are having a general anesthetic, you won't notice the time pass at all!. I've had it once and was out for 6 hours and never knew at all!. I have no memory of time passing at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had to have surgery when my appendix ruptured and I don't remember anytime passing at all!. In fact I asked if it was already over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Its like a dream!. You wake up sometimes after, roll around, go back to sleep!. Basically feels like you just partied all night and went to bed at 5 AM!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
