Need help identifying cause of scar on man's groin.?!

Question: Need help identifying cause of scar on man's groin!.!?
My partner and I have been together for 2 years and are very serious about each other, but he got really uptight when I asked him how he got a scar that is on his groin on the right hand side and wouldn't tell me!. It looks like it was from an operation!. A mark approx 4cm long running vertically up his body at a slight angle outwards and looks like it is quite old!. He is almost 40 now and I find it very bizarre and worrying that even though we are extremely close, happy together and talking of marriage he is unable to communicate with me about this scar!. Does anyone have any ideas what the scar could be!? Just to think of a few options of what it could be would make me less worried about it all as I don't want to push him on this one!. Thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He probably had a hernia in the area!. I had one but today the procedures are so much easier!. That would be my guess!. Why he gets uptight about it is odd!. Just keep asking him until he gives you an answer!. If he won't, and he gets angry, tell him that you are not going to live with someone who mistreats you for asking such a simple question because you care!. This could be an early warning sign of what lies ahead after marriage!. Tell him he scares you with this type of reaction!. Best of luck to youWww@Answer-Health@Com

It could be from a hernia operation!. Its not that uncommon for children to be born with hernias!. Its a simple operation and seldom has any complications!.

Perhaps it wasn't an operation!. Maybe it was an accident that he is trying to block out or something!. Maybe bringing it up is a painful subject for him!.

The bottom line is I don't really know!. If you've asked him and he won't tell you maybe its not really anything worth worrying about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He may have had surgery as a child for an undescended testicle!. He may have had hernia repair but he shouldn't be afraid to tell you that!. You may need to ask him about this in relation to his ability to have children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A hernia repair perhaps!. Both my husband and son have had hernia repairs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
