Only if you don't have insurance! Where is the pain!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Where was your pain!? I had severe chest pain that turned out to be my first anxiety attack when I was 19!.Unfortunately with the ER or urgent care they tend to just want to get people in and out!.They really do not deal with diagnosing, they deal with emergencies, and things that cannot wait til the following day, like stitches, broken bones, etc!.I really try to avoid the ER if possible cause 9 times out of 10 they do nothing!.If they could not find anything, maybe he did not want to admit that, and therefore said it was in your head!.I would follow up with your regular Dr!.Some people also go into ER's looking for pain meds, and maybe the Dr thought that was what you were doing!.Did they do any tests at all!? I really hate when you go in and they do not even take a scan or xray, then tell you nothing is wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually they don't come right out and say "your faking" sounds like something a 6 year old would say!. If they can't figure out what is wrong they may say something like that-but a bit more professional!. If you are in severe pain there is probably a reason for it!. They may have thought you were just looking for pain medicine!. Try another doctor!. Depression can make real pain more severe though! Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For years I had pain and the doctors couldn't find anything to explain it!. They never said it was just in my mind or I was faking, but I sure felt like that's what they thought - that it was psychosomatic!.

Years later they "discovered" TMJ syndrome, which is what I'd had the whole time!. (and still have!.)

Definitely go to an internist and have them do some tests before dismissing your pain!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, not exactly, but I had issues with the ER when I took my 15 month old son in for a temp of 104!.5 over a weekend, and after 4 nurses did their things, the "doctor" came in, read the chart (DID NOT look at my son), and said it was from the sinus infection he had been on antibiotics for for over a week!. When I told her she was full of s**t, she said then it's a virus!. Oh, I hope they send me a survery of services for THAT visit!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went 7 years with chest pain, and every hospital did ekg's and tests, found nothing wrong!. Was finally admitted, had simple blood test done, had congestive heart faliure and in oct 05, had open heart surgery!. I was told if they didnt catch it when they did, I had 6 months to live!. Nice docs, huh!? Thank god for the one who saved me!Www@Answer-Health@Com
