More than likely it is Globus Hystericus a cardinal sign of Acid Reflux (GERD)!. Without a full physical exam other causes like thyroid cancer, esophageal cancer, esophageal webs and other diseases can't be definitively ruled out!. Please see your doctor to be safe, but it is probably acid reflux!. Next time you feel it lay on your back, push in and up on your stomach-if it gets worse then it is most defiantly Globus!. oooohhh, I had that a while back!. It is a Cricopharyngeal spasm, which is a muscle!. I took ibruprofen!. And that was the only thing that helped!. It's gone now, after a few weeks!.

This could be some mucus, try drinking alot or eating liquid like foods, to gradually make it go down, (gross i know,) swalling hard foods could get caught in it, making the lump feel bigger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
