Twisted ankle ?!


Question: Twisted ankle !?
This morning i kinda twisted my ankle and i went to see the doc, the X ray pics show nothing of a fracture and no its not broken!. So now my ankles plastered/bandaged right now & he told me that i'll be fine in a few weeks!. I can't walk, but it hurts so bad when i move it from one position to another!. I feel like its broken!.

Can someone tell me some ways to ease the pain !? its hurting a lot!.

If you can move it at all, pain or not, it's not broken!. You probably sprained it!. Sprains hurt much more than breaks or fractures, and take a long while to heal, sometimes as long as 6 months!. Elevate the foot!. Take alpha lipoic acid, it works as a natural anti-inflammatory, plus it is excellent for cell renewal and turnover!. Place the injured part in very hot water!. Every few minutes remove it from the hot water and place it in ice water for about one minute, then back into the hot water!. This can be kept up for an hour or longer and repeat it two or three times a day!. After this, gently massage the injured part for fifteen to twenty minutes, massage the entire foot and leg well up over the knee!. If the hot water makes the pain worse, use only ice water or and ice bag for 24 to 48 hours and then start using alternate hot and cold!. Keep the injured part at rest!. If the ligaments are badly torn, a fairly tight bandage (Ace bandage) may help to ease the pain and give stability to the joint!. If this treatment is repeated for a few days the results will be most gradifying!. Massage the area gently at least twice a day!. Hot and cold fomentations help to reduce swelling and inflammation!. Make an herb tea of equal parts gentian, skullcap, valerian, buckthorn bark, and a pinch of red pepper!. Mix thoroughly together, using a heaping teaspoonful of the herbs to a cup of boiling water!. Take a tablespoonful every hour!. More may be taken if needed!. An herbal liniment made from 2 ounces of powdered myrrh, 1 ounce powdered golden seal, 1/2 ounce cayenne pepper and one quart rubbing alcohol (70 percent) Mix together and let stand 7 days, shake well every day, dacant off, and bottle in corked bottles!. If you do not have golden seal, make the liniment without it!. Massage with this for 15 to 20 mins!. You could also use tiger balm and that works well for the place of the liniment massage if it is to much work to make it!. Anyhow, I have told you what I know!. Do the best you can!. well I'm sorry but there's not much you can do you have a plastered/bandaged on you cant take it off and you twisted your ankle it will heart trust me and your ankle is not broken you had a X-ray on it you will jest have to wait it out when when the plastered/bandaged comes off and it still hearts have a nother X-ray on it AND IM LOOKING AT YOUR OTHER ANSWERS AND THERE SAYING PUT ICE ON IT YOU HAVE A FREAKING plastered/bandaged ON HOW CAN YOU ICE YOUR ANKLE WITH A plastered/bandaged ON!?!!?!!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go see a different doctor, the first could have missed something or you could have sprained it and if it hurts tht bad you should be put on crutches meanwhile take IbuprofenWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well firstly keep off the foot, obvioulsy and try applying ice or soaking it in warm water or epson salts and also try an ankle brace if you haven't already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
