Is there something wrong with my Laceration?!
Question: Is there something wrong with my Laceration!?
Ok so, I got a cut to the right, of my right eye!. After I got stitches, it oozed blood a little, but it stopped!. But two days after the incident, my right eye has gotten red and blackish, looking like a black eye!. I may also point out that during the incident, I did bump my eye!. Is this something I should be worrieed about!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Granted I can't see you but I don't believe there's anything wrong with the laceration!. You state you bumped yourself and you go on to describe a bruise!. I don't think it's your eye that's become "red and blackish", I think it's the skin around or near the eye!. You had trauma!. Now you have bruising!. This is normal and expected!. Is there liquid still coming out of the cut!? If not you should be all set the discoloration is most likely due to the bump!. Any blow around your eye swells up and colors often since the eye is a delicate place it does it to protect it!.

Not at all!. The tissues around the eye are loose!. So any bleeding in the area will collect areound the eye, giving you the black eye!. It should take a week, maybe longer to go away entirely!. The stitches around your eye would usually be taken out in fivce to seven daysWww@Answer-Health@Com
