Actual Reaction to Needles?!

Question: Actual Reaction to Needles!?
My roommate has a strong aversion to needles!. She refuses to get vaccines which her physician prescribes, because she says that her body reacts badly to needles!. She says that the vaccine they wanted to give her was given with a huge, thick needle!. That sounds weird to me, because I give blood regularly, and the needle they use is pretty thick, but when I went to get a TB skin test, they injected something into my skin with an extremely thin needle, so it would make sense to me that they'd use a thin needle for any vaccine as well!. Also, she says that when they take blood for any tests, even the tiny amount that they take causes her to feel very faint, dizzy, lightheaded and nauseous!. My guess is that it's all psychological, because it doesn't make sense to me that such small needles and such small amounts of blood would cause such a reaction!.
(Yes, I know I'm being nosy, but it's purely out of curiosity!.)
So - psychological or physical!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is a psychological problem!. Your friend is obviously terrified of needles and this fear makes her feel faint when she is having her blood taken or she's being given a vaccine!. No one has a bodily reaction to needles; it's all in their minds!.

Also the needles they use for vaccines are usually thin!. I think your friend was making it seem bigger than it really was!.

such reactions do exist, every time my sister gets a needle she faints and has a seizure, it can't be just psychological!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
