First of all this may sound a little strange but I swear it works!. MIL told me & for years I just thought yeah right!. Old home remedy to stop the bleeding & pain!. Put mentholatum (pretty thickly) over the cut to begin with!. This gets the bleeding to slow to a minimum, and it will help take the soreness out as well!. Then you should be able to bandage it, yes you probably do want to use the gauze so that it doesn't stick to the wound, then tape in place!. I cut my finger literally to the bone once tried this & the next day it was hardly sore at all!. You know how with a deep cut it will throb especially at night while TRYING to sleep, this actually helped immensely with that!. Will help keep bacteria away as well, just remember to apply a considerable amount!. For the scarring use one of the creams made for that purpose that you can buy at any drug or grocery outlet, hopefully the scarring will be minimal!. As far as pain when you put on your shin guards use a thicker bandage for extra padding!? Sorry that this happened and at such a bad time for you!. You have my sympathy!. One note: this advice is on the assumption that the cut is not very deep and you did not cut anything other than the skin & flesh on your leg!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to see a professional, that is really all you can do!. The longer you wait, the worse the scar will be!. Go to the ER no matter how inconvenient it may be, not to mention infection!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to your nearest drug mart and purchase some iodine!.carefully drop some iodine into the cut EVERY DAY to prevent infection!.It will sting over 10x more then it does no but trust me it will speed up th healing process and prevent infections from happening and I'm sure you don't want an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
