Can you be put to sleep for a vasectomy?!

Question: Can you be put to sleep for a vasectomy!?
Im thinking of having one, I found it is at least mostly covered by my health insurance, but I have a HUGE fear of a razor near my balls, and I think I'd freak out, is it possible to be put to sleep for the procedure!? I understand it is relativly painless however I dont think I could sit still or not freak!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I had it done whilst I was concious!. Naturally very concerned whilst I was in the waiting room!. Entire procedure lasted about 45 minutes and apart from the jabs - 2 - 1 jab either side ( no jokes about feeling a small prick ) it was pretty painless!. 3/4 hours later when the jab wears off is when it starts to get "tender" and the doc recommended simple painkillers!. 7 days later you'll be raring to go!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you can, if its that much of a problem!. Remember though that anesthetic can sometimes have a worse effect on you!.
You will not be looking down and watching everything that happens anyway, my guess is you will be behind a screen from the waist down after having a local!.
If youa re that paranoid about someone shaving your bits why dont you do them first !?Www@Answer-Health@Com
