What to do when stung 19 times by yellow jackets?!

Question: What to do when stung 19 times by yellow jackets!?
My husband is a landscaper and this afternoon he was stung a total of 19 times by yellow jackets!. He insists he's fine as did the other two workers but it seems like he should see a doctor!. He's not allergic to them but was stung all over (ear, hand, face, head, neck, torso, legs, buttocks), there's only mild swelling, except for his ear and hand which are pretty large, and he took 4 benadryl right after it happened!. I've never dealt with bee stings much and can't find a lot about them online!. Will someone who's a medical professional please offer some advice!?!? If he's ok not to go to a dr!., what should we do to treat the stings effectively!? And if he should see a dr!., should we go to the ER now or wait until morning to see our regular dr!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as he is not allergic in the past to bees he should be fine!. If he has any facial swelling, trouble breathing and he is feeling like his throat is closing then call 911 right away!. But other than that if he was allergic then it would have happened earlier!. See the doc to see if there is anything you can do for after care and to make sure he is fine!. Hope this helps!. Your best bet is to go to the ER now, since there is so much venom and so many stings, and they are in probably the worst places!. If you can't get to the ER, going to the doctor tomorrow will be fine, but the swelling and pain might get worse!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I am not a doctor, but work for a landscaping company also and see bee stings and such happen all of the time!. 19 times and in the areas you mentioned, I would call his doctors office!. I assume that they have someone on call for emergencies!. Ask the doctor if he or she thinks you should wait until tomorrow or not, when the benadryl wears off he might have a bad reaction, he may need to take it for a few days!. If the doctor says go get checked out, then do it, if they say its ok to wait, then at least you'll have a professional opinion!. -- If he is sleeping when the benadryl wears off, I would wake him and make him take another dose just in case!.!.!.!.!.!.!. poor guy!. Happened to a guy I work with and he had to go to the hospital, he was very allergic!.!.!.!.!.!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
