On going back pain, need help!?!

Question: On going back pain, need help!!?
I have had lower back pain for the past five months!. I am a 22 year old male who has always been in good health!. I played football, lacrosse, and wrestled in high school!. I have never had any major injuries!. I had surgery on my left shoulder two years ago!. My back pain started when I was in the gym!. I was doing deadlifts and I felt a pop in my back and shooting pain down in the back of my legs down to the knee!. The next day was aweful, I was in a ton of pain in my lower back and it felt like someone was pinching me down the back of my legs!.

I did not go see the doc because by the next day things were fine!. I went to work and was unloading a delivery that had just come in!. i was lifting a box (absolutely the wrong way) and felt another pop in the same place in my back!. That was FIVE months ago!. I went in to the doctors office and they gave me oxycodone APAP 5mg, and prednisone and wanted me to get an MRI!. MRI showed that I had a buldging disk in my back between the L4 and L5!. My back pain contuinued for 3 more months, while that happened I was just perscribed oxycodone 5mg and that helped a bit by making the pain more tolerable but the doc did not do ANYTHING else!.

I finally went to a neurologist who saw my MRI, I got a second MRI and the buldge was still there!. The neurologist did and EMG test, everything was fine there, no nerve damage!. I then got a CT myleogram ( I think that is how you spell it)!.My doctor took me off of the oxycodone because I was sick of taking it every four to six hours!. She put me on tramadol, which sucked and did not do anything either for the pain!. She perscribed Naproxen, Prednisone, Nabumetone, neurontin, Ibprofen 800mg, and some more meds!.

I have been off the percocet for 1!.5 months now and all of this other crap does nothing to take my pain away!. was on Nabumetone 750mg two tablets per day and tylenol every four hours!. It did not help at all with pain!. I am frustrated after being like this for the past 5 months!. I went to see a pain management doctor and he said to just take ibprofen 800 MG every 4 to 6 hours!. It is not helping with pain and it is killer on my stomach!. What in the hell should I do to get my pain under control!? I have been getting the runround with doctors for the past month and a half with different meds that dont work, I try and communicate this to them and they always tell me to just keep on taking the meds they perscribe!.!.!. I do and nothing happens!. what should I do!? How can I get my pain level across to a doctor so they believe I am in pain!? I feel like they look at me like I am a 22 year old drug addict just trying to get some pills from them!. That is not the case in the slightest!. I am very frustrated and just do not know what to do anymore!. Any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately your problem is not uncommon!. I'm in the same boat!. I have two Bulging disks L4 & L5!. They don't want to do surgery because of my age which is older than you!.!.!.not by much :)!. Which is fine with me as I do not want surgery!. I want to be able to swing a golf club and be able to twist!. I have tried injections as well to no avail!. So I"m left with terrible pain, a constant upset stomach from advil and always worrying about my liver from taking Tylenol!. It get really old being made to feel horrible for asking for help!. Pills don't make me high, they allow me to function!.!.!.!.pick up my kids and just live!

I wish you all the best and hopefully you'll find a caring doctor that will actually to their job and help you feel better! Try to keep up on your core strength exercises!. Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

? They have injections (shots) they could try doing, into your spine, every few months to help with the pain!. Have they talked about surgery!? My husband had 2 back surgeries (L4-L5)!. They also put him on a lot of meds, until he found the right doctor, the one that was willing to do what it took to get him better!. He still has some pain from time to time, but is able to work, and live a fairly normal life!. Surgery is not for everyone tho!. Sounds like to me you might try finding a new doctor, and explain the situation, tell the doctor you tired of being in pain, and to young to live like this!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

you should ask your neurologist about steroid facet joint injections!. 3 over 6 months to reduce the bulging of the disc this might let it recover to a normal position and take the pressure off the nerve that is causing the pain!.

Couple this treatment with physio for core stability and psychological support as with chronic pain there is the anticipation of pain to get over when the condition is managed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
