Swelling underneath my tongue?!

I've had my tongue pierced since November last year and only yesterday my tongue seemed to be sore and i had discomfort eating and drinking - I've had a sore throat, cold and cough etc since the start of february - This morning I woke up and checked my tongue and the underneath seems to be swollen and red around the vain's and the bar. I'm taking medication for a bladder infection, could i be having a reaction to this? Help
