Question: I sleep on my left side often. I have a tense feeling and tightening pain in my left arm?
This pain never occurs in my right arm, only the left. I'm 30 years old and female.
Answers:
While you're sleeping on your left side, do you keep your left arm slightly bent at all? Try falling asleep in any position that allows this arm to be as straight as you can comfortably get it. Constantly putting weight on your left arm could be what's bothering it, but if you're constantly having it bent too... this can cause cubital tunnel syndrome, entrapment of the ulnar nerve. Does your pinky feel numb or tingly ever? Whatever it is, try switching up the sleeping position, if that doesn't work then I would start to look into it more.
