What's this pain i'm having?!

What's this pain i'm having?

for about 6 hours now, i've had this pain in my side. it's on the right, near my back. i have a feeling it's my kidney but i'm not sure. it's a sharp pain that comes and goes...but when it comes, it really hurts!!! it hasn't got any worse in intensity, but its been consistent. i'm a 26 year old, athletic, healthy girl and have had no other problems. any suggestions as to what this can be? thanks so much!!!

Could be a kidney infection or kidney stone, but both of these are usually accompanied by other symptoms; i.e. fever, nausea, etc., or it could just be a gas bubble. Best to see a doctor if it gets worse or you start to run a fever, or it just doesn't go away. You can try looking at www.webmd.com for more information. Hope you feel better soon.
