What is wrong with my foot? Broken? Ligament?!

Question:

What is wrong with my foot? Broken? Ligament?

My foot was lodged in a kayak, and was hurt trying to wiggle it out. It really didn't start hurting until the day after. The pain is located near the center and on top of the foot. If you follow the big toe ligament, it is located about halfway between the toe and leg. When I walk it feels like something is moving and is out of place. It is a very weird feeling. Also, when I rub that particular spot of the ligament , it's hard to describe what it feels like. Feels like rubbing talcum powder against a balloon, if you can follow me. The pain isn't very acute, but enough to keep me from strenuous activities. What's wrong?

Answers:

OK well I don't think it is broken because if it was broken you would have felt it trust me the pain who have been to much to for you to handle especially for a whole day. This is what you do I personally think is really is a bad sprain. If you could move your toes and your foot then I could probably guarantee you that it is not broken. Try moving your foot side by side bending it and it the pain is to much to handle go to the hospital to take some x-rays or you could go to an orthapedic doctor to see what he says he could probably send you to do the physical therapy. I wish you all the luck i know it hurts very much but it takes time to heal.
