Muscle in my shin causing pain?!

The muscle on my right shin seems to be really tender and sore after playing football (soccer) on Sunday. This seems to happen for a few days after I play every week. There has been no major impact on the shin that would cause bruising but Im really curious as to what it might be. Any help would be appreciated!
