Question: Has anyone else have Sciatica after having a baby? If so what helped it?
Hi there,
I had a baby 5 months ago and shortly after having my baby I was diagnosed with Sciatica..It has gotten increasingly worse..Some days i can't even stand on my leg or bend down...i have been trying to go for walks with the baby and work out to get back into shape but if i'm on my leg for 20 minutes i'm in so much pain ...Have you had this and if so what helped? 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER..
Thanks in advance and please be nice:)

This is happening to you because one of your discs is bulging and pressing on your spinal cord or one of the other surrounding nerves.... This will help you....Lie on your stomach and then arch up onto your elbows to stretch your back...hold for a count of 5 then repeat as many times as you can(at least 10 times)...Doing this will ease the disk back into place.Do this several times throughout the day every day for two weeks. It is a good idea to do this on a regular basis from now on to keep your back in good alignment, eventually you will be able to rise up higher onto your hands rather than just your elbows.

you may just have a disk out of alignment,, the best thing is to go to a chiropractic and have xrays and alignments,,,you may have swollen disk from all the pressures,, only time and painpills can help that,,, but first you need xrays to see what is going on,,,go from there

Hi Jessica. I had the same problem after the birth of my son. I had to go to physical therapy, because it got so bad, i couldn't walk. After a few months of therapy, i was fine, and never had a problem again. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Hi Jessica. It might be wise to have a thorough evaluation by your family Chiropractor. He/she specializes in diagnosing and treating these types of problems.

Best wishes and good luck.
