i have a really sore back?!
Question: I have a really sore back?
Answers:
The heating pad could be making it worse. If your pain is caused by swelling, applying heat to it will draw blood to the area and increase the inflammation.
I know the heating pad feels soothing at the time, but it could be hurting you. Try alternating between heat and ice. 15 minutes with an ice pack, 15 minutes with nothing, 15 minutes with a heating pad, and so on. An anti-inflammatory, like Advil or Motrin could help, too. And, try to get a family member to give you a massage.
Unless you've had some trauma or disease, your discs should be fine.
is this persistent pain or has it just started?
