Question: Please Help, What is wrong with my ankle, Is It bruised? Will pick a best answer?
please. i need some advice. the bone on the side of my ankle hurts really bad. its hard to walk on, i have to limp. it feels like its massively bruised or something. when i push on it with my finger i cry out in pain. i've never had this before. what is it, what's going on with it. it seemed to come on after I started working alot and being on my feet. could it just be bruised, and why would being on my feet cause something like this to happen.

Answers:

What side of your ankle? It sounds like it the lateral side, the outside part of your ankle.

Is there a soft mound of swelling where it hurts? I could be irritated tissues and bone.

SHOES: Have you worn different shoes while working? High heels are hard on ankles. So are work boots that don't fit right.

Did you twist your foot or ankle. If yes, get health treatment to see if there is a severe injury.

Otherwise, do the RICE treatment at home: Rest - Ice - Compression - Elevation <<< I would skip compression on your ankle as it hurts to press the ankle, as you stated. Get your foot up and rest. The pain should go away in a day. If you cannot walk easily tomorrow, continue to rest (RICE) the ankle, and seek health care as soon as you can.

You most likely have a strain from walking a lot. Try getting a brace, icing your ankle and not walking quite as much if possible. If you don't it could get more serious the same thing happened to me and I didn't go to a doctor until I had ended up breaking it
