Bee stings?!
Question:
Bee stings?
why do people put ash on bee stings?
Answers:
It's supposed to neutralize the sting because ash is alkaline. A better alternative is a paste made from water and baking soda. It has a tightening effect on the tissue and sometimes this will make the stinger easier to remove. Also, baking soda is a good neutralizer for itchiness and minor stinging sensations. If you get hives from a bee sting, or have trouble breathing, that is more likely an allergic reaction and you need to seek medical help immediately so you don't go into anaphylactic shock.
