REMEMBER my ADVENTUROUS MONTH OF MAY? ALL those ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS? WELL !
Question:
REMEMBER my ADVENTUROUS MONTH OF MAY? ALL those ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS? WELL GUESS WHAT?
i've been trying my best to be a big girl and not complain about my thumb incident..you know the left one that i ripped the ligaments of...
so the truth is that i haven't been able to use my hand since then...even thou the dr. said that it was a matter of a week or two to heal, my thumb is as bad or even worst off...i can't even wipe my hand with..blah, blazzy, blah...
but, i finally decided to go back to see my dr. i figured it may not all be in my imagination since other people could see how my left hand still looks like a man hand...
any whoo, she only took a look at me and sent me right over to the ortho specialist...now they are talking about possibly having to do surgery on my hand...WTF????? what happened to the 7 day cure?
anyone had a miss diagnosis? have you gone from a simple sitting out to surgery?
crap, i thought the month of june would be better
3 weeks ago
so funny, 'mis diagnosis' not 'miss diagnosis'
should i blame the bad thumb for my bad spelling?
Answers:
Mis-diagnosis happen all the time b/c no doctor can know everything...that is why there are specialists. General practitioners try to treat your injury/illness the best they can and if you do not get better then they send you off to a specialist. The thumb is very tricky...if the ortho recommends surgery then go with the surgery. Sound like you probably have a torn UCL and that doesnt heal very well on its own (most ligaments dont).
