How long does your gut hurt after an appendectomy?!

Question:

How long does your gut hurt after an appendectomy?

Answers:

It depends on a number of things.
How your surgery was performed?
Was it an emergency such as a ruptured or infected appendix?
And your pain tolerance level.
Oh and your ability to heal.

If the surgery was performed laproscopically (key hole) it's usually just over a week before the pain eases off dramatically.
If it was an 'open' surgery then about a month. As the surgical area is a lot larger.

If it was for emeregency reasons, some pain from the intial reason for surgery, can remain after the surgery incision has healed.

If your pain tolerance level is low it can last quiet a while onger such as for weeks, as you feel every pain and pull. So it constantly hurts.

If you have such things as malnutrition or diabetes as such, healing can take considerably longer so pain lasts longer as well.
