I've got a sprain, it is better to put ice pack, or is it better to put my hand !
Question:
I've got a sprain, it is better to put ice pack, or is it better to put my hand in boiled water with salt???
Answers:
alternate cold and hot compresses. ice pack first to reduce swelling. after at least 30 minutes, heat follows to promote blood circulation in the sprained area. just use a hot water bag or a small towel soaked in hot water. don't use each application for too long (about 15 minutes, intermittently) as it could cause tissue damage.
