Why is a broken wrist that has been plated tingling and burning?

broken wrist was plated 4 weeks ago it burns and tingles when other hand is fine


Answers:

It's either just the processes of healing or pressure on a nerve. If it's down your thumb for example it's affecting the radial nerve. I can understand where tingling is part of the healing process but not burning.
There's pressure on a nerve somewhere, to cause that.
Get some advice from the surgeon who put the plate in in your next consultation. Be sure to tell him the truth and give him something tangible like a number representing your pain. So if it doesn't hurt all the time tell him it's a three or if it's agony tell him it's a 9 or 10. Only you can feel it so communicate the pain so he can understand.
