My leg tingles when I walk, what's wrong with it?!

Question:

My leg tingles when I walk, what's wrong with it?

I work at UPS. About a week and a half ago at work, one of my legs slipped between a grating and a trailer and the right side of my left knee got scraped up, but it didn't really bleed much. Recently, I noticed a huge blue bruise going up the back of my leg, starting about five inches above my heel and going to the back of my knee. Also, there are a few small red spots around the original wound, and the area around the original wound is swollen. Today, when I woke up, I started walking, and my leg began tingling every time I moved it forward. What could be wrong with it? Is it infected? Can I just wait it out or should I go to the doctor?

Answers:

Yes you should go to the doctor
the tingling could be caused by a pinched nerve
but your wound sounds pretty serious and you should get it checked out..without seeing it its hard to say if it is infected or not..you may also not be getting proper blood flow through your leg due to the slip
