Disability living allowance?
hi all,
i have been on DLA for 3 years now and am due to reapply soon. i have a deteriating facet joint in my back, i have had a number of injections done and they have worked with the pain for a while, but i will have this problem for life and as my specialist has said 'it wont get any better'.
i have 2 questions really,
1, when the DLA send out the papers again, are they excactly the same as when i had to fill them out the first time (hope not, they are a pain) and how many months do they send them out b4 ur DLA is up?
2, i have read that the DLA are really striked now of who claims it and who doesnt, i no i havent gone into a lot of detail of my condition but some days i cant even walk, and most days i walk like an old woman bent over (im 33), i take so many pills too. i just wondered if there were any people on ere who no, or work for DLA as i am scared that for some reason they will take it off me.

its called the all work test and they get you to fill in page after page of stuff then at medical ask you same questions again see if they add up,they also have cctv watching you from when you get there to when you leave!!!you sound too ill to work so stop worrying.the questions they ask like can you walk 200 metres...if you can some days and not others answer for the worst day not the best day.they usually send for you about 3 months before your time is up.i know this cos i have friend on it and he saw room open with people watchin monitors off cctv.so if you answer i cant sit for more than 15 minutes before having to move make sure you get up and move after 15 or so minutes!!!hope this helps.they also ask your doctors opinion so it sounds like you are sorted with what you say he said
