it's almost like hearing one of those take-out boxes at the drive thru's speak when anyone talks and it's starting to get annoying......

Any of the above answers are worth a shot and you should take some decongestants. Believe it or not, your nose, sinuses and ears are all connected and a decongestant will help dry up the liquid in your ears. If the various methods listed by the other answerers and the decongestants don't start clearing this up by Monday and/or you start experiencing pain then you need to go to your doctor to be examined.
