Costochondritis/ Tietze syndrome?
i was diagnosed with costochondritis its been about a year since i had truama to that area and have been in pain since. i had a chest xray and a ecg thats how i got the diagnosis .a couple of weeks ago the doctor started giving me ibuprofen 600mg 3 times a day and it helps witht the pain but in the morning and sometimes when i skip a dose the pain comes back ive had this pain for over a year and a half now .i was on diclofenac that didnt work i was also on Amoxicillin they helped with the pain ibuprofen is the best.does costochondritis fade or can you have it for years?
will i be taking ibuprofen for the rest of my life?

I don't know if it ever goes away. I hope so. I've had rib pain for something over 5 years now. Mine did not stem from injury though. Just started one day.
