Tongue Bump?!

Tongue Bump?
I have read online that if you bite your tongue and leave a bump that it wont go away unless you under go surgery. Is that true?
Also, I get a small bump on my tongue. Not a lot, but sometimes. My mom calls it a lie bump for when I tell lies. What is that bump? It dosent hurt unless u bite it, and sometimes when you swallow and spit goes over it.

it will go away after it heals, you might have bitten it or somtimes to me it just starts to hurt. it will go away in a couple days, at least thats what it does to me.
