After knee replacement surgery, how long does it take for the swelling to go dow!

Question:

After knee replacement surgery, how long does it take for the swelling to go down?

Answers:

Most of the swelling will subside within the first three to six months. However, expect some intermittent swelling and mild to moderate pain over the next year. In rare cases, trauma to the lymphatic system causes permanent swelling which requires a course of manual lymphatic drainage and daily use of a compression garment.
