Last night I was in a car accident and the dr gave me a shot of dilaudid...my arm is still very red and sore from the shot. not just the normal sore from shots either. it hurts when i move my arm and it feels like there is a golf ball under the skin in the muscle. is this normal? the guy who gave it to me also nicked the vein and made blood squirt out across the bed. could this a reason i hurt so badly? the skin is VERY red around the injection ****. too...someone pleas ehelp figure this out

Chances are that the guy doubled pricked your vein and the part of the medicine went into the local tissuse rather than going into the blood completely .
Use Ice Packs and Motrin for pain . Hopefuly the ball of blood and inflammation will go away in a few day .
