I had that problem and it's crazy how fast time flies but honestly when I skipped a night it actually does help beacause then the next day you will be tired at an earlier time!
Skipping an entire sleep cycle may be unnecessary. You could easily just set your alarm to wake you up early on a few consecutive days and don't let yourself fall asleep until you approach the new bed time you want. If you make your body follow the routine, it'll become easier. Though you will still have to resist the temptation to stay up late :)

If you wake up about 3/4 am than maybe you should try to go to sleep about 8:30 pm. Because everyone Is supposed to have atleast 8 hours of sleep so I suggest you sleep at 8:30 :) hope my anwser helps
