Ow, my neck is STILL sore...do you think it's time to go see a dr.?!

Question:

Ow, my neck is STILL sore...do you think it's time to go see a dr.?

ok, yesterday my neck started hurting really bad, and y'all said just put a heat wrap on it and it should be fine, so i did, and it did help.
but when i woke up this morning, i could barely move!!! but now it's not my whole neck, it's mostly the left side, but it's sending shooting pain from my shoulder {left} and to the base of my skull. i cannot turn my head to the left, but turning to the right is no problem. I cannot find a position to relieve the pain.....please help! what should i do?!?! i don't really want to go to the dr. b/c i'm not the type of person that really complains, but this is killing me!!!!!!
thanks for the advice/suggestions,
♥katie!

Answers:

first off if you have fever with this and you cant put your chin to your chest...get to the doctor..meningites is a quick killer...it gets bad very fast...
If your neck is out it would cause it to hurt like that, try ice instead of heat have someone message your back muscles and take ibriprofin...if it still hurts badly go to a chriopracter first and see if it is out...then go to the doc if that doesnt help...but Ice helps my neck, heat makes it worse it sounds like your muscle has spasmed..you need to get blood back into it by pressing it right in the middle of the muscle...hurts too but feels much better after...hope it helps
