What can i do to stay awake?!

What can i do to stay awake?

i have a problem of falling asleep everytime i try to study. i know red bull is bad for you, but i can't stop drinking it. not that i enjoy it, but it's the only thing that will keep me awake. coffee doesn't work for me anymore. i know that if there's too much red bull in your system, you can have tons of negative side effects and health issues, so i try to keep it down to 1 (sometimes 2) a day. My question is, is there something else out there that can help me stay awake (finals week) instead of red bull? again, coffee has absolutely NO effect on me.

i have tried napping, but my 1 hour naps usually turn into 5 hours...i don't have time for that...i can't stop sleeping/falling asleep.

I remember those days. Coffee stopped working for me, too. So what I would do first was get as much sleep as possible. Then, for finals week, I would drink lots of water. If I started getting sleepy, I'd start doing some sort of exercise, like jumping jacks. If I really needed to nap, because my eyes blurred or I wasn't even remembering what I was studying, I would take a 20 minute nap WITH my legs elevated (pillows work well). It sounds weird, but it worked. Worked for some of my friends too. It also helps to have a roommate or friend wake you up from those naps when you don't quite hear the alarm clock. :)
