Can a right leg amputee be a pilot?!

Question: Can a right leg amputee be a pilot?
Answers:

They probably can't get a commercial pilot license. For example, someone who wears glasses or doesn't have 20/20 uncorrrected vision can't get a commercial pilot's license in the USA. They can probably work as a flight engineer on commercial airlines though, but I'd have to look into that to be certain.

A person with one leg can probably get a private pilot's license since they can modify their airplane to accommodate their flying style, or should be able to fly an unmodified airplane using a prosthesis.

I think one can get a balloon license if one is blind, at least that was the case in the 1980s. Stephen Hawking has a balloon pilot's licence. Apparently Aerostats/Ballooons have right-of-way and all other aircraft have to get out of their way.

pilots and flight engineers I know.
