Is my burn healing right?!
Question: Is my burn healing right?
So I was having a bath yesterday and I was lighting a candle with a wooden match. I like to be fancy sometimes. As I was lighting it, the match broke as it lit and fell on my leg. It stung like hell for a second, then I dipped my leg into the water and looked to see there was a bad burn. The skin was chard and red around with white under it. Mostly the outside of the burn hurt where I wasn't burned as bad. I cleaned it and ran cold water over it a few times until it seemed ok, then I just left it. Now it's kinda yellow and dry where the skin is gone and a little red around the outside. It doesn't hurt to even touch it, but I was wondering is this is good? I hope so. I didn't have anything to cover it in my home. (and it's really small like the size of my finger tip) I think it;s alright, but just making sure.
Answers:
I would put an antiseptic cream or a burn cream on it to make sure the burn is clean as it's been left open. I would try and cover it so it doesn't get effected but other than that it should heal fine, I have found though that grazes cuts on my legs etc tend to leave a mark on the skin for a while (few years) so it's best to try and do your best to clean it and keep it covered so it heals well. Hope it clears up soon!
