How long does the common sore throat last?!
Question: How long does the common sore throat last?
Answers:
Check your temperature. If a sore throat lasts much longer and you have fever too, you may have strep throat. It can be deadly if not treated in time. Most regular sore throats are gone within a few days.
If you could get relief in the next couple of minutes would that help? You have tight neck muscles pressing into your throat to make it sore. Freeing the muscles back up will get the pressure, the soreness back out of your throat. Here's how to free up those muscles to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
