my head hurts when i work out!!!?!

Question: My head hurts when i work out!!!?
for the past three days, my head has been hurting when i try to do any kind of workout. For example, when i do pushups, normally i do thirty, and after the twentieth i get pain in the left side of my head, somewhere above the eye. I cant really describe how i t hurts, but my head pulses in the rhythm of the heart. When i stop the exercise, it takes about half an hour for my head to stop hurting. And this is not only with pushups, when i do anything for a longer time, like rope skipping and bench pressing. What should i do?

Answers:

When you are working out you are tightening up your neck muscles for this to happen. The neck muscles are connected to most of the other muscles for the pains in your head. Also it slows up the blood flow out of the brain to get a pressure feeling there as well. Freeing up your neck muscles will get rid of the pain and here's how to free them up:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

your neck mite be out of line ,have it looked at .you mite have pulled a dice out in your neck.hope you find out because it painful, and you can't even go swimming it will pull it more. God Bless have a good day

I have got two dice out and I know the pain..

you could be dehyrdrated, drink lots of water.

If you have a heart condition you should avoid press ups, sit-ups etc. Excessive repetition should be avoided, cut the cycles down to 10, even less. Arthritis Research is now looking into the effects of arthritis in athletes. Modify the position if possible. Check with your GP, if necessary get Xrays on the neck, possible neck arthritis. Avoid those press ups until you have checked with GP. There may be a weakness in the muscles, check with the British Thyroid Foundation.
