My new polarized prescription sunglasses are weird!?!

Question:

My new polarized prescription sunglasses are weird!?

I just got new prescription glasses and sunglasses. I am a little farsighted with a bit of an astigmatism. My regular eyeglasses seem fine, but my sunglasses make it seem as if I'm drunk! If I turn my head quickly, it seems like things take a second to focus again. If I'm standing still, things do seem sharper, but when I'm walking around, everything seems a little "off." I'm wondering if the fact that they're polarized has anything to do with it? Or do you think think the eyeglass place just screwed up my prescription? (Although, I bought them at the same time as my glasses, so you'd think they'd get it right.) I'm wondering if I'm just not used to them, or should I get my eyes rechecked? I've not regularly worn glasses before.

They are not bifocals, by the way. My husband said that he also has a little astigmatism and his first glasses seemed a bit strange, so they removed the correction for the astigmatism and he's had no problems since. (?)

Answers:

Go back to where you purchased the glasses this is not normal. They might have made a mistake.
