Can your contact lens size change?!

Question:

Can your contact lens size change?

I've been ordering my contact lenses from an internet based supplier for the last 3 years, using the prescription my optometrist gave me at the time. I'm just wondering if the diameter and/or base curve can change at some point, because the left side is starting to not feel quite right anymore...

Answers:

it sure can. a contact lens prescription is good for a year, then you need to have an exam to check the health of your cornea, the prescription you have, and to evaluate the fit of your contacts.

FYI--over the last 3 years, some really comfortable contacts have come on the market. You might want to ask your optometrist for a sample of some more breathable lenses.
