EYE test HELP?!

Question:

EYE test HELP?

So I just went oto the DOL today and they tested my eyes for my instruction permit (I'm 15). So I did everything ok UNTIL they asked the question, "is the ball inside or outside the box?"
I saw two things a box on the right and a dot on the left.I have lazy eye. So, is it because I didn't focus correctly or becaue I have lazy eye? Are there any online practice tests?

Answers:

The test you had sort of measures whether or not your eyes are lined up, how well they see in 3 dimensions. If you can see well, you don't pour the coffee on the table, you pour it in the cup.

As far as driving, look up the law in the motor vehicle code of your state. It should say that you must have one eye that corrects to 20/40. I doubt if it says anything about seeing with depth or 3 dimensions...up and down, right and left, in and out.

If you have a 'lazy' eye, that eye never 'learned' to see well, and it's just not going to at this age. You can try and 'force' it to, by patching the good eye..and this has been shown to be of some benefit. But I'm not sure you really need it anyway.

After 14 feet, no one has stereopsis as our eyes are only about 60-65 mm. apart anyway, so whether we're close or far from something and another objects place is determined by whether another object is in front of it or behind it, etc.
