Contact lens care?!

Question:

Contact lens care?

Can anybody provide me with detailed advice on how to care for my contact lens?

I heard that whenever you have already put the contacts in your eyes, and the case is left, you should empty the case of any solution and air dry it. BUT what if dust or other harmful organisms fall into it? It doesn't sound sensible even though people recommend it.

Secondly, is it safe to switch contact lens solution? I have used one kind of solution in one case and contacts, but I want to switch, so can I take the contacts out, pour out the solution, pour in the new solution, and put the contacts back in? Is it safe?

THANKS so much for any help.
