How do you prepare your eyes for contact lenses? I can't touch any part of my ey!

Question:

How do you prepare your eyes for contact lenses? I can't touch any part of my eye...?

Whenever I try to touch ANY part of my eye, it just automatically closes. I can't pull the top part of my eye up or the bottom part down to put in contacts because they twitch, sting and won't let me pull them up/down. The eye doctor guy said my eyes were sensitive because I'm young....

I have until June 12th when my next appointment is and I really need advice on what I can do to get my eyes used to being able to be touched and the eyelid pulled up or down.

Answers:

i have contacts right now and i had the same problem. Once you get contacts it's so much easier. It took me two hours to put my contact in the very first time. I couldn't get it in at the optometrist and if you can't either than ask if you can keep a pair to try at home. Then just keep trying. Your going to want to slam your head against a wall but keep going. I guess you can have a lot of staring contests or something to practice keeping your eyes open for a long time, but i don't know if that will actually work. When you try to put them in, a trick is to put a little bit of solution on your finger and make sure the contact is totally soaked with solution. Put as little of the contact on your finger as possible. Good luck and don't give up. Remeber it took me two hours just to get the first one in, and it takes other people even longer!! My friend took four hours!!! Good luck!!
