Worth it to switch to contacts as opposed to glasses?!

Question: The whole touching the eye thing kind of freaks me out, but I've been wearing glasses for years and would like to switch to contacts. Is putting in and taking out eye contacts, something that is relatively easy to adjust to?

I really hated my glasses. I thought they were a hassle, and I broke them playing basketball and they gave me acne where they sat on my nose. I recently got contacts, and they're awesome. I think they make me look better and I see better, too. When you put them in and take them out you're really not touching your eye, rather the contact. It's really easy to adjust to taking them out and putting them in. It took me a half a day to adjust. I had a lot of trouble the first time, but once I did it, it was very very easy. The doctor will show you exactly how to use them (put them in and take them out) and care for them. I love my contacts and it doesn't take much time to get them in and out. I've been wearing them for only 2 months, but it seems totally normal now. Trust me, you'll LOVE them. Also, if you want, you can get them in different colors. Smile! Hope this helps! =]
P.S. I'm a swimmer, and now I can see when the coach is explaining a workout or while I'm swimming. You can do much more with contacts.

Scared me also but it gets easy after a short time, however as a side effect of constantly touching your cornea (kind of bad?) you might diminish or lose the corneal reflex - when your cornea is touched by a foreign object you blink.

it is alot more work... but if it makes you happy.... ask your eye doctor to try some on and see if you would be able to do it every day
